As a logistics hotspot, Port of Twente plays a key role as an engine of the regional economy: in terms of creating economic and societal value for Twente, the Netherlands and the Euregio area, as a source of work and as a relevant and crucial player in logistics transport chains.

Port of Twente’s objective is to strengthen the economy in Twente by creating more jobs in the logistics sector.

In order to achieve this, Port of Twente’s Logistic Association organizes activities based around the following topics:

  1. Infrastructure: eliminating bottlenecks and optimizing the use of existing infrastructure
  2. Marketing and representation: communicating a clear and consistent message
  3. Education and the labour market: ensuring alignment with the sector’s needs
  4. Innovation and research: creating a competitive edge
  5. Knowledge and advice: gathering, sharing and utilizing information
  6. Networking organization for members
